I think #TungPo polarizes people, some think it is pretentious & the 5% Service Charge is slightly offending, its clichéd, its aimed at tourists especially after being aired by Anthony Bourdain back in the days. Some, even the locals, think it is a fun place to hang out at perched on top of a wet market, reminiscent of the good old Dai Pai Dong days but almost on steroids..!
From a Food Perspective alone, I have always admired their character & creativity in Cantonese cuisine. Sure not every dish works. But if this Prawns Toast recipe was actually a 10 out of 10 in terms of taste, rather than the 7.5/10 level it is at now. Everybody else would have been out of business already lol 🤭🤣🤣
